Share on FacebookTwitter trend is increasing in Pakistan, and the trend took new dimension when Mobilink first introduced twitter for mobile and after that Zong recently also appeared in the list . Just after Zong, Ufone also offers this service for its subscribers now though officials are unaware of this. Signup and usage procedure is same as discussed earlier in the launch of this service by Mobilink and Zong. We just signed up for the service and it works well, as you can send tweets, retweets and get updates for free by simply going to the profile of the user whose tweets you want to get on mobile and click the mobile updates icon. It merits mentioning here that Ufone is currently deducting standard charges for the SMS (Rs. 1 plus tax) for each update and when asked Ufone about the charges, CSR claimed that they are unaware of this update and twitter may be showing Ufone in the list on its own but there is no update like ufone getting partened with twitter. Though one can easily recon that Twitter only shows registered networks and now Ufone is there. Staff may be unaware of the this update yet but the matter of concern is, Ufone is deducting Rs. 1 plus tax for each tweet while it is now confirmed that Zong is offering this service as per you package plan, like if you have subscribed to SMS bucket, each message for tweet will be deducted from that package instead of your credit.
